Hunt? Fish? There's only one candidate for you

Roanoke Times outdoors reporter Mark Taylor recently talked to Creigh Deeds and Bob McDonnell about outdoors-related issues Virginia's next governor may face. Looking through the scope of the interview it comes into focus that, for Virginia sportsmen, there is only one candidate who understands their issues, who in fact lives and breathes, the Commonwealth's great outdoors.

Deeds has an "A" rating from the NRA. But, they've effectively become an arm of the Republican Party so there really was no decision for them. Besides, the NRA has become more about guns than hunting and fishing.

Deeds hit a homerun in the interview while McDonnell showed he's not really tuned into these issues. Plus, Deeds is the man most responsible for the VA Constitution protecting the right to hunt and fish.

Belle Rose Bob McDonnell will hit a homerun at the polls tomorrow. Creigh (whats in your wallet)Deeds hasn't hit a homerun in his entire campaign. The NRA sure has alot of articles on hunting and fishing in BOTH of their magazines to have as you say become more about guns than hunting and fishing. The NRA membership is up 18% this year so far.
