Why do you call your next gov. Taliban bob ?

The Taliban Bob label dates to 2003 when TB wanted to probe what was was going on in a judge's bedroom. Of course, when a reporter asked about his bedroom, Taliban Bob couldn't recall. What a compliment to his wife! He was playing dodgeball then, too. Taliban Bob or Dodgeball Bob - take your pick.

Oh i see so you are saying its ok for the Republicans to call Deeds, Crying Deeds or No plans Deeds. I would leave McDonnells wife alone if i were you. Remeber Deeds son just got charged for having alcohol under age.

Anonymous, you're not making sense. "Taliban" Bob fits McDonnell perfectly--he's an intolerant, extreme rightwing bigot; that kind of approach to governing might work well in Afghanistan, but we don't want it in Virginia.

Don't be so hard on Afghanistan Obama is sending 20,000 more troops there. Remember all the talk last year about bringing the troops home what happened ? Kaine has only worked a 2-3 day work week since he went to work for the DNC. I don't know about you but i think with a 300 million dollar shortfall Va needs a full time Gov. but i guess cause Kaine has a D next to his name that makes everything he does in your eyes ok.

Anonymous, you are wrong AND you lie. Troops are being withdrawn from Iraq. Yes, there's a build-up in Afghanistan (which I'm not happy about), but it's fighting against the Taliban--the folks who have more in common with McDonnell than you care to admit.
As far as Kaine's work goes, he's putting in a full week as governor each week. The state has once again been named the best-managed in the country, no thanks to the Republican just-say-no Delegates in the HoD. (And, by the way, did you complain about Gilmore when he was the RNC Chair at the same time he was Governor? No, I didn't think so.)

Non Truth Teller you are a liar Kaine is not working a full week he has plans to work for the DNC every week.

Gilmore didn't have a 300 million dollar shortfall when he was in office and he didn't close 18 rest stops. Please tell me what did i lie about ?

Among other things, Anonymous, you lied about Kaine's "2-3 day work week". Yes, Kaine is doing DNC work every week, but part time. He's still a full-time governor.

And you're right--Gilmore didn't create a $300 million shortfall. Somehow, in the wake of Clinton boom years, the strongest American economy in decades, and record federal surpluses, Gilmore handed a whopping $400 million shortfall to Governor Warner.

On the other hand, given that the Bush recession is the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, Virginia's shortfall is relatively modest.

I guess you just pick the details you choose to remember; too bad life doesn't work that way.

As for the rest stops, if the Republican-controlled House of Delegates had taken their heads out of their asses and worked for compromise on transportation funding, it wouldn't have been necessary. What choice was there?

So you are saying in 8 years Warner and Kaine couldn't fix Va and now you want the people of Va to put another DemoRAT in office i think the people of Va will show you what they think of Deeds in Nov. And i meant Rat

VA would have been a lot more "fixed" if the Repugs didn't control the House of Delegates and said NO to virtually everything. Grouchy Repugs are against anything and everything.
